rnd 3: ch4-up, dc in same, *(ch3, sk 3st, [dc, ch1, dc] in next st)* 7x.

rnd 4: ch1-up, sc in same, sc in each st around, slst in 1st st.  48st.

rnd 5: ch1-up, sc in same, sc in next st, *(ch 7, sk 3st, sc in next 9st)*repeat 4x, slst in 1st sc.

NOTE: we will be working in a quadrant at a time.

row 6: (3 sc, ch4, 3ch, ch4, 3 sc, ch4, 3 sc) in ch7 loop, sc in next sc of rnd 5, turn.

row 7: ch 7 up, 3dc-puff in center st of 2nd 3sc section, ch7, 3dc-puff in center of next 3sc sec, ch7, sc in next st of rnd 5, turn.

row 8: sc in next sc rnd 5, *(sc, hdc, dc, 2tr, dtr, 2tr, dc, hdc, sc) in each of the 3 ch7 sections, sc in next 5sc of rnd 5)* repeat around for 4 sections, slst into center sc of row 8.

NOTE: we will be in the round at this point.

rnd 10: ch1-up, *(ch4 picot in same, 4sc in ch2 loop, 6sc in ch4 loop, ch4 picot, 10 sc in ch 7 loop - ch 4 picot - 10sc in ch 7 loop, ch4 picot, 6sc in ch 4 loop, 4sc in ch 2 loop)* repeat ** around, slst in base of 1st picot. leave a 5" tail.

weave tails in 3 different directions, trim.

Block to 6 inch square and using steam iron, hold iron 1/4 " above your work.  DO NOT touch iron to element!

SPECIAL stitches

[double-treble cluster]:

beg dtrcl: ch 3, wrap over hook , insert into st in last row, (wrap over hook 1x, bring through 2 loops)2x, ch 4.

dtrcl:  wrap over hook 4 times, insert into st in last row, (wrap over hook 1x, bring through 2 loops)3x, wrap over and bring through 4 loops, remove remaining loops 2 at a time until down to 1 loop on hook.

Small Flowers

In this lesson we will learn how many ways you can make the same flower as a filler on your garment.

ch 6, form ring.

1- 12sc in ring slst in beg.

2- ch1-up, sc in same, *(dc, ch 5, ext dtr-cl, ch5, dc) in next st, sc in next st* repeat  ** around, slst in beg.

3- ch1-up, sc in same, * (2sc, hdc, dc) in ch5, (2tr, picot, 2tr) in dtr-cl, (dc, hdc, 2 sc) in next ch5, sc in sc* repeat ** around, slst in beg.

all the flowers below follow these instructions to begin with.  The thing is to make changes to your flowers to make them unique. 

this is a new flower for you to have.

I found this leaf on the internet and was unable to read Russian so I brought the image into InkScape and began working out how it was made.  It takes trial and error to make things this way, but I like a challenge.  If you like this leaf all you need do now is follow the instructions below:

Instructions  #4 steel hook and #10 crochet cotton thread.
