LESSON 6 Necklines

Lesson 6 will be Necklines and armholes and or sleeves.

As we begin to trim our new creation we will need to have it compliment the months of work we have done.

This dress has the motifs as the finishing touch to the neckline and armholes.  I have used several ways to finish the dresses and blouses I have made.  Some need a simple detail.

The motifs are together and now to put a finishing tough to this dress.

I finished it up with picots as they are simple and look nice.

This dress I made leaves and ran them around the neckline and a round of single crochet for armholes.

leaving a 5" tail, ch9, slst in 1st ch.

rnd 1: ch1-up, 13sc in ring.

rnd 2: ch1-up, sc in same, *(sc in next st, 2sctog in next st, sc in next st)*  repeat around. 17st total, slst in 1st sc.

rnd 3: ch4-up, dc in same, *(ch3, sk 3st, [dc, ch1, dc (V st)] in next st)* 4x.  5 V st across.

rnd 4: ch1-up, sc in same, sc in each st around, slst in 1st st. 27sc

rnd 5: ch1-up, sc in same, sc in next st, *(ch 7, sk 3st, sc in next 7st)*repeat (ch4 tr in last sc rnd 4. turn.

NOTE: we will be working in a quadrant at a time.

row 6: (1 sc, ch4, 3sc, ch4, 3sc) in loop, sc in next sc of rnd 5, turn.

[double-treble cluster]:

beg dtrcl: ch 3, wrap over hook , insert into st in last row, (wrap over hook 1x, bring through 2 loops)2x, ch 4.

dtrcl:  wrap over hook 4 times, insert into st in last row, (wrap over hook 1x, bring through 2 loops)3x, wrap over and bring through 4 loops, remove remaining loops 2 at a time until down to 1 loop on hook.

rnd 4: ch1-up, sc in same, sc in each st around, slst in 1st st.  48st.

rnd 5: ch1-up, sc in same, sc in next st, *(ch 7, sk 3st, sc in next 9st)*repeat 4x, slst in 1st sc.

NOTE: we will be working in a quadrant at a time.

row 6: (3 sc, ch4, 3ch, ch4, 3 sc, ch4, 3 sc) in ch7 loop, sc in next sc of rnd 5, turn.
